What a nice word…completed. It’s been very satisfying and fun to complete this challenge (thank you to Emma for giving me a second chance!). I’ve learned several new techniques, increased my creativity, gotten “Scrapper’s hand” a few times (cracked fingertips, ouch!), but mostly I have just plain enjoyed myself.
I know a mini book is supposed to match all throughout, but this just doesn’t. I won’t apologize though because I like it that way.
So, here you go. I’ll just include the new pages since you’ve seen the others.

More favorite authors/series…I had about a million Harry Potter stickers I bought when I was 16, so I was glad I finally got to use them for something! The page was a bit of a disaster, let’s just say I had a violent struggle over top of it with a jar of perfect pearls and they won! Sorry, Harry!
I was glad I finally got to use these figures I got from a scrapbooking convention goodie bag years ago.
Here I am in all my nerdy twelve year old glory.
A long time ago in a scrapbook far, far away…
These roses sort of happened by accident. I was browsing youtube tutorials, looking for an embellishment that would go with both Phantom of the Opera and Star Wars (yep you guessed it: I never found one), and I came across this tutorial. I didn’t really follow the instructions but just started absently twisting some paper as I watched it. However, I really loved how it looked and decided to use it after all. That’s one of the things I love about this hobby – that sometimes the best things happen when you are just playing. I see lots of paper roses in my near future!
These pages are about my faith, which is very important to me. I was a missionary in Brazil which is shown on the left, and my family on the right.
I did leave a few extra pages for future additions…for instance I would like to include a page about all of my family members if I ever get some good recent pictures printed, or a page about scrapbooking, about future interests or career choices, travel, etc. So many possibilities. This has been super fun and I just can’t wait for my next challenge!
But right now it’s Emma’s turn!
Dear Emma,
I challenge you to make a project using the lyrics of a favorite song as inspiration. You could use them for the title, journaling, or just as a subtle influence over your paper and embellishment choices, etc. Have fun!
Alaina
