Finally I present to you the ‘beginnings?’ of the second challenge.. I couldn’t settle on the final embellishments.. I must need to take a shop trip soon?
I knew I had a busy busy week so as much as I wanted to do a mini album I knew that It was not going to be possible and got sensible with a 12″x 12″
Simple enough you’d think? This had me driven around the bend, I thought I was never going to stick anything down! The challenge was that I do a page not only about myself but about my own personal viewpoint onĀ scrapbooking style… This was so much more challenging than I expected and I don’t feel completely satisfied that I did it very well.. I found myself working initially with the photograph and taking myself further away from the ‘doodle’ scrapbook perspective that I love for more overall eye pleasing plays with patterns. I gave up on much doodling in the end after a botched attempt- lesson learned: Don’t get overly ambitious when you have a rug rat at your ankles!
I love Photography, so I began with my photo selection first which wasn’t too hard as I don’t seem to get many self pics developed! I knew that I wanted an airy feel with lots of room to doodle.
I share 3 little treasures which I think tell a lot about me.. And recycled a piece of cardboard from some packaging- I am a big fan of recycling items in Scrapbooking.
I used Alaina’s Slice for the title and just about all the papers are from Basic Grey’s ‘Nook and Pantry’ collection- which I looove. Alaina seem’s satisfied that this looks very much like it is my work.. so I guess that it did fill the challenge fine after all Hurra.
